I think it's safe to say the the winter /fall propagation has begun with the appearance of WWVA around 3 pm. on my Tescun PL 380.

WTIC is easily used to set watches on the eastern coast because (since 1943) it sends the  Morse Code letter "V" at the top of every hour. The letter "V" represents "Victory during WW2" and is also the theme of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

Cuba lost their electricity a few days ago but last night they were back online and booming into West Virginia. I was hearing the "tone" at the top of the minute followed by their charistic "RR".
